New 5 dollar bill design – news to me

I didn’t know we were getting a new U.S. 5 dollar bill. I just saw this today from the Federal Reserve. Don’t ask why I get email newsletters from the Federal Reserve. I sign up for every newsletter on the off chance I will learn something or find something useful and it just sucks up all my time reading and deleting them. But this time hey, it worked! Check out these new designs and see the new bills for yourself at the Federal Reserve site. It is always interesting to see the changes in colors in US currency. I was so used to green for so long. I also want to thank the Fed personally for reducing the rate at which they loan money to banks this week from 5.5% down to 5%. We needed that .5% drop for those people who have to refinance soon. Like me! My 5 yr ARM home loan won’t be up for adjustment till next October, and I have good credit, so it shouldn’t be a problem. But I feel like I might get a better rate refinancing now than I would have before. Thanks Chairman Bernake!
