I saw this post about new product concepts from Phillips electronics today and I was hoping I’d see something new and innovative here that would be an interruptive technology that would make my life easier more fun or more communicative and instead they seem to think the future of electronics is in lights? (ok the kid writing on the wall and the message board thing is cool but the rest aren’t that appealing) I am not sure if its a slow year for innovation but I wouldn’t be interested in any of these things. I hope in the next year they do more cross platform innovation with more emphasis on using the internet to help people find information and communicate more ubiquitously. Or a flying car would be welcome. A good example of a new innovation I do like is the Nabaztag Rabbit. Yes it has lights, but more importantly gives people real time updates to information happening on the web.
