The Center for Media Research sent out an update on the comScore MMX numbers for JULY. And they update us on the top web properties by traffic and the top online video sites. They also tell us that they estimate that 9 Billion online videos were watched in the month of July. (thanks to broadband) And 75% of viewers watched at least 3 hours of that online video that month. That is a lot of time wasting at work if you ask me. I think some people surf at home but others do at work. You know the ones, that don’t know how to turn the sound off or use headphones so you hear every IM ping and every silly email with a link to some weird video.
The findings include:
“Google Sites ranked as the top U.S. video property with nearly 2.5 billion videos viewed (27.0 percent share of videos), 2.4 billion of which occurred at YouTube.com. Yahoo! Sites ranked second with 390 million (4.3 percent), followed by Fox Interactive Media with 298 million (3.3 percent) and Viacom Digital with 281 million (3.1 percent).
